This week, our focus was on Jesse Bear, What Will You Wear? First, we worked on our our calendar and weather chart.
We then did our bible study, read this week’s book and looked for rhyming words. The lunch time scene made Ronnie realize he was thirsty.
We sorted foods that Jesse Bear ate or didn’t eat during his lunch at noon.
Then Ronnie worked on some patterns. He’s been asking to learn more about shapes, so this was a great activity to lead into that!
Since Ronnie has mastered 1-10, we started working on the teens. He can recognize most of them, but has a hard time putting them in order, so this charting activity was a great visual for him. He got tired with the stickers, but he started to see how each column had one more than the last.
Then it was time to practice handwriting, so he traced numbers.
Our last activity was to match together rhyming words. This was a challenge for Ronnie, so I think we’ve hit on something that will be great to work on frequently.
