Pom Play: Use this practical life activity to help your toddler learn how to sweep up a mess. Spread some poms out onto the floor or table. Give your toddler a broom and dust pan to sweep up the poms and dump them into a bowl or bucket. You may want to demonstrate this once or twice first. Is your kid a pro already? Take it to the next level – have your tot sort the poms by color.
Encouraging Literacy: Take a trip to the library. Check out some books about the color yellow or the letter B. Take them home and read!
Helping with Chores: Have your toddler practice washing the table today. Spill some water onto a table surface that is easily reachable. Give him/her a towel and encourage cleaning up. Praise your little one’s success!
Sensory Water Play: Fill up the sink with warm (not hot!) water. Add some dish soap while its filling to create bubbles. Give your toddler spoons and measuring cups to play with.
